This is insanely cute, and we're suckers for Alice references, but isn't anyone else totally creeped out by the little bunny feets? Like, ew.

We are getting mighty, mighty sick of your designs for goth loli Jenny.

Why, you may ask?

Look here, at the lineup we produced, after a mere 5 minutes rummaging through the Tikistitch' s dusty curio cabinet:

None of these dolls or outfits are any newer than vintage 2003.

And there are more. Oh yes, my friend! This is but the tip of the gothic iceberg. There are more upstairs, lying waiting in their little coffin-shaped boxes.

And this does not begin to count the various black-clad dollies we own produced by Azone, Volks, and their ilk. We loves us some goth dolls--no one could dispute that fact, as much of our retirement money is invested in the little buggers.

Now, look at this: )

Shion! Purple hair!!!

Ack! ::faints::

And, green Marine!! )

::fans self::

And more. Dolls are at the Licca Castle site, from whence we steal all our best pictures.

Doll lust!

  • May. 27th, 2005 at 11:52 AM

(Totally ripped off from [info]blastmilk. But we have no conscience, Bwa-ha-ha!!)

From Azone's news page. Oooo, we need this dollie! It's been so long since we've had a great quivering case of doll lust. At least since last Wednesday. And, why isn't it the weekend yet? Yesterday seemed like Friday all day, so what shall we make of today? We are alone in the office while the other kiddies frolic in 85-degree weather.

(BTW, Oomukai seems to be a wrestler with a penchant for colorful garb.)

Hair today

Good lord! Is it "Jenny as Cousin Itt?" Naw, it's just the new Castle dolls. We at Tikistitch International Holding Company were a bit taken aback by their hirsute appearance. They don't have ankle-length hair! No, they have floor-length hair! Gadzooks!

Here's an image of Shion's face, after you scrape off most of the blue hair. Purty! We also got a red-coiffed version of Tom, who, as you know is the straight-staring version of Raph, whom Takara has now deigned to rename "Leif" for the US market (ewwwwww!). Anyway, as you can see, Tom's hair is.... Hey!! Stitch, get out of the picture. We're trying to talk about pretty pretty dollies here. Go....eat some left shoes or something.

OK, where were we? We also decided to get Kaori in the blue-haired version as well, blue being a favorite color 'round hereabouts. We loves Kaori's distinctive eyeprint which.... STITCH!!! OK, OK, w'll go watch Wasp Mummies Part 427 with you. Too much naughtiness to get anything serious and important done 'round here today...

The Terrible Wrath of Tikistitch

  • Feb. 9th, 2005 at 7:20 PM

Tikistitch is Not Pleased.

An evil browser hijacker program came and stole away our work PC. All our morning's work? Pfft! Gone, lost to the Blue Screen of Death.

Let's look at cutie dolls, eh?

This gal evidently originated from the Peach John store or catalog in Japan. See? She even has her own shopping bag. The doll's a bit "normal" looking to satisfy our often outre taste, but we were seduced by the vivid packaging design. We also appreciate her funky faux fur coat. As you can see, she comes festooned with a variety of stuffs, including a purse, shoes, and press clippings.

The little things

  • Jan. 26th, 2005 at 9:47 PM

So, today after work, we were involved in a car accident. Thanks to the Tiki Gods, no one was injured, although our driver side window now lies in a million billion pieces, all over Capitol Hill and it's environs. We have learned an Important Lesson: car accidents are bad things to be in.

We are wired, and in bad need of chocolate (preferably dark). But let us now take a moment to treasure the little things in life. Like Petit Blythe. She's pretty damned little.

This is the Piyo Piyo messenger Blythe. But, as you can see, she's not awake yet. What a cute little duckie suit you've got! Why a duck? Why not a chicken.

Taking stock

See, We do still post pretty dollie pictures. Occasionally.

This girl is from Takara's annual report to stockholders.

No kidding. )

We've been waiting for this doll for many years now.

My box from Volks arrived!

That was quick. It should be, after paying $42 for postage (grumble, grumble).

O, Shion!

  • Dec. 31st, 2004 at 9:14 AM

I decided to be awfully clever, and order the Licca Castle "create your own" Shion doll with the light blue hair.

Then I saw the new Licca Club 67 doll.

D'oh! )

I *heart* minis!

It's mojo dojo Momo!

Muchas Luchas Momoko? This Mame Momoko doll (translation = "Evil little Momoko") is based on Ofune-chan, one of the Kaientai Dojo wrestlers.

Petit Jenny after the cut.
