Awesomeness from Mexico. The guys responsible for this bootleg DVD evidently couldn't decide whether they were ripping off Stitch: the Movie or Lilo & Stitch 2. You can't really tell from the photo, but the box is actually warped. It's just kind of wonderful.

Bootleg DVD we picked up from a vendor near the Soviet Expo in Moscow. We love the randomness of Stitch paired with....Atlantis! It plays fine on our OPPO, only cuts out right after the Winona song, before the main credits. Picture quality sux, looks like they taped from TV. Extra fun: in the dub, when Stitch babbles in alien, it's still Chris Sanders, but when he speaks in English (ie, Russian), they have a totally different guy, with a much deeper voice reading the lines.

'Twas a good Stitchie day at the glorious Pan Russian Exhibition of Soviet Economic Achievements. We found Stitch.

Duncan and Anne had to leave our happy party yesterday. We were sad, as they'd rather go to a nice hotel in Helsinki than get their feet dirty in the Godzilla Hostel shower room. But, before we left St. Pete, Duncan scored some very silly toys--a Yoda and a Commie-red Chewie. Good score, old pirate!

If one were to explain, one would be hard pressed to explain just how awesome tiki's life has been this past day. First, we started in Commieland, ie, the Kremlin, and it just got better.
We didn't actually get intoLenin's final resting place yet. As with so many things in Russia, first you must stand in a line. Then the line gets you to another line, where you go through a metal detector. Then sundry lines to check your camera, and then you get to line up to see our comrade.

Arrived in Moscow. Not exactly comfy logging in, as there's a buncha Russians sitting around in their underwear drinkin' beer. We're at Godzilla's Hostel. Yes, really. Mr. Tiki found it. Will get pix later. But for now, at least we're washing some truly stinky clothes. The Mendeleev subway station is like the coolest EVAR--they have DNA models. Will get pix later of that too. Mr. Tiki was reading guidebook on the trainride in--we badly need to go to garden of discarded Breshnev statuary.
