Meeting the Stitchster

Forgot we made Mr. Tiki take this picture. We ended up sitting in the row where Stitch spits all over you. Came out pretty soaked, though not as soaked as after Splash Mountain. SM is one bizarre ride by the way. In all our years going to Dizzyland, we'd never bothered to stand in line, so this was our first ride. But it's not really my idea of a roller coaster: it's basically you drifting around an animatronic Uncle Remus story, and then like exactly two waterfalls. And, since nobody's seen Song of the South for like 50 years (for good reason, but still) the story and characters are kind of obscure.

When you rode Splash Mountain, did you count the number of Brer Butts?

No, but other people in our car were obviously doing that!

I remember the first time I went on Splash Mountain, it was actually kind of terrifying... not because of any actual roller coaster movements, but because of the cacophony of the various animatronics! I could see and hear other scenes playing, so it was very disorienting. And then suddenly there was a waterfall. It's such a weird ride!

I'd never tried it at Dizzyland, because either it was too cold to get wet, or too hot to stand in the long line. And then this time we came right off Thunder Mountain, so I was really prepared for another rolly coaster, and not animatronic versions of half remembered characters. It's kind like they randomly added a 360 degree turn to Peter Pan Flight.

Yes you have! With me! Remember when we got to the top of the last waterfall (& I saw how high & steep it was) & wanted to immediately get off. We got soaked -- but not too badly. I believe this was the trip we took with EW.

SOTS (in my opinion) really deserves a deluxe release, where they just confront all the baggage. I think that would be a lot more classy than just kinda treating it like a stepchild.

You know WDW has a villains shop at Hollywood Studios, right? Seemed like it was 80% NBC this time though.

Stitch's Great Escape was totally my favourite attraction. I got to sit where his hot, steamy breathe hits the back of your neck.

Splash Mountain was fun. I still consider my bravest moment on the trip was actually doin' Space Mountain.

Space Mountain was *closed*!!!!11!!11! oneoneone

They said they closed the Hall of Presidents to add Obama. So I asked whether they closed Space Mountain to also add Obama. But, they wouldn't tell me. Though, it would be kewl.

I guess thanks to the reaction of the audiences, I think they'd definitely want you to have medical check ups before taking part in that ride. Sounds rather awesome though!
