Mattel's released a Jacob Barbie! Check it out! on Twitpic

You have to click on it so it's not teensy and fuzzy. Unless you like your Twilight teensy and fuzzy.

I'm still mad about Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken.

Justin Charity: Christian Groups To Protest For The Right To Gay Bash - Politics - Air America

The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission plans to protest the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which President Obama signed into law last month, by preaching outside of the Justice Department. Pastor Paul Blair is apparently concerned that the law will infringe on Christians' constitutional rights to act out their bigotry.

You know, you wanna be a douchebag, this is America, you can be a douchebag.

But, that's not gonna keep the rest of us from thinking you're a bunch of douchebags.

Or worse yet, we're gonna start ignoring you. Which is probably what you're really upset about.

UP on Blu Ray

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 6:57 PM

In case anybody is interested (you've all seen it, right?) I've scribbled down a few notes. I'll stick most of it under the cut in case anyone was saving themselves.

Was a bit taken aback this one didn't come with 3D glasses. Anybody know why Disney/Pixar passed on 3D for this one?

Am I Blu? )

Just One of the Guys | Television | Advocate.com

Advocate.com:Glee creator Ryan Murphy didn’t go the typical route for casting the show. How did you connect with the show and what was your audition process like? What song did you perform?

Chris Colfer: It was very grueling and was probably the most stressful experience I've ever had to go through. Originally I was auditioning for the role of Artie [played by Kevin McHale] and I went in to the casting director and he liked me and put me through to the callback with Ryan and the rest of the creative team. The audition was OK; I was extremely nervous. I don't remember being truly there for the whole thing. Then I got a call from my agent saying that they didn't want me for Artie but they wanted me for this new character they were writing. At the audition the first thing that Ryan said to me when I walked through the door was, "Why do I have a feeling you've been in The Sound of Music?" And I said, "Oh, I was Kurt in The Sound of Music." So I get to the next audition and I discovered the new character that they just wrote is called Kurt. I was a little suspicious of the name and what kind of character it would be, but I was still reading the lines because the character hadn't been written yet. I went through the network auditions and the studio auditions and I got a call later from my agent, who said that I got the role and that the role had actually been written for me....

Star Wars convention says no to Baltimore - Baltimore Business Journal:

Chewbacca won’t be coming to Baltimore next year.

Organizers of the Star Wars Celebration V rejected the city because its convention center doesn’t have enough room, said Tom Noonan, who heads the city tourist bureau. The four-day gathering could have attracted 35,000 visitors and filled 12,000 hotel room nights — a larger impact than any convention the city currently hosts.

That doesn’t factor in the media attention a Star Wars convention draws. Like Star Trek, fans of the George Lucas films are passionate about everything Star Wars.

Fanfest-type conventions are huge draws for tourists. Baltimore’s largest convention, Otakon, last year brought in $27 million in spending and 26,300 fans of Japanese animé.

Wonder what's happening with Orlando? That's another spot that's been mentioned a lot. Think Chicago is the only other one in the running?
